I will dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
